WELCOME
Message from the President…
Welcome to the Official Website of the Xi Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
It is my honor to welcome you to our virtual home. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded 112 years ago, on January 13, 1913, by 22 visionary women studying at Howard University. Their mission was clear, grounded in sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. More than a century later, their legacy continues to guide our work and inspire every Delta who follows in their footsteps.
Chartered in 1978, the Xi Alpha Chapter is proud to be the first Black Greek-lettered sorority established on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology. For nearly five decades, our chapter has upheld a tradition of resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service. We remain dedicated to strengthening our community and honoring the foundation laid by the women who came before us.
This year, we center our efforts around the national theme: “One Delta. One Mission: Anchored in Legacy, Evolving with Intention.”
At Xi Alpha, this theme reflects our heartbeat. It reminds us to stay rooted in our rich history while thoughtfully evolving to meet the needs of our campus, our community, and the world. We will continue to champion social justice, deliver impactful programming, and uplift one another through the joy and power of sisterhood.
For my beloved Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta, this website is designed to serve you. Please explore our Member section, stay up to date with chapter announcements, and remain engaged as we continue the important work of our sisterhood.
Thank you for visiting our online home. We hope you learn more about who we are, what we do, and the legacy we are committed to advancing. Please return often, we look forward to connecting with you.
Yours in Service,
Jaila Kimbro
