Welcome to the Official Website of Xi Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!
Greetings and warmest wishes to all who have found their way to our digital home! As the 2024-2025 Chapter President of Xi Alpha, it is with great joy and pride that I, Benét Harris, extend this heartfelt welcome to you.
One hundred eleven years ago, on January 13, 1913, 22 young women enrolled at Howard University founded Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Their aim was to establish an organization centered on sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
The Xi Alpha Chapter, chartered in 1978, is the first black Greek-lettered sorority on the esteemed campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Our chapter's legacy is marked by courage, determination, and an unwavering commitment to service, making us a unique part of this campus's history.
At Xi Alpha, we are guided by the national theme "Forward with Fortitude: Engaging Our Sisterhood, Empowering Our Communities, Elevating Our Impact." This theme serves as our compass, directing our efforts to foster sisterhood, uplift communities, and make a meaningful difference in the world.
As you navigate through our website, I encourage you to discover the rich history, vibrant spirit, and impactful initiatives that define the Xi Alpha Chapter.
Thank you for stopping by our virtual space. Follow us on our Instagram @xialphadst to stay updated on our upcoming events and initiatives! We are excited about the opportunity to engage with you more in the future!
In Sisterhood and Service,
Benét J. Harris
